Sechs junge Künstler aus fünf europäischen Ländern haben sich am ersten August Wochenende in Castrop-Rauxel kennengelernt und in unserem ESC Workshop mit Leidenschaft ihre Begeisterung für die Musik und den Eurovision Song Contest geteilt!

Falls Sie keine Vorstellung haben, was sich hinter der Abkürzung ESC verbirgt, sei gesagt, ESC steht für den Eurovision Song Contest. Der größte Musikwettbewerb der Welt mit fast einer halben Milliarde Zuschauern fasziniert nicht nur die Fans und Musikschaffenden in den über vierzig teilnehmenden Ländern, sondern darüber hinaus Millionen von Zuschauern in Kanada, den USA, Asien und Australien.

Somit kam der ESC an diesem Wochenende mit unserem Workshop nun auch in Castrop-Rauxel an, zumindest zu einem kleinen Teil. Am Ende entstanden vier neue Musikstücke, die wir für verschiedene nationale Vorentscheidungen in Europa einreichen werden. Mit ein wenig Glück erhalten wir die Chance, uns für den Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo / Norwegen zu qualifizieren! 

Unser gemeinsamer Song ONE WORLD, ONE DREAM! darf zurzeit leider noch nicht aufgeführt werden, aufgrund der Veranstaltungsregeln des Eurovision Song Contest. Höhepunkt unseres Workshops war am Samstag, den 01.August ein Konzert vor geladenen Gästen der Presse, Fans und der Musikbranche mit unseren beteiligten Künstlern!

Six artists of five different nationalities joined our ESC workshop, which was held during first weekend of August. They shared their passion for music and enjoyed the atmosphere of an international workshop.

For those who are not familiar with the ESC, these three letters are a symbol for the greatest music show on our planet- the Eurovision Song Contest! Millions of spectators, not only of the participating countries, will follow this mega show event each year. There are a lot of fans in Asia, USA, Canada and Australia as well!

For the first time the people in Castrop-Rauxel, a small town in western Germany, got directly in touch with ESC. At the end of our workshop we will have produced four new songs, ready to be submitted to different selection shows for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, hosted in Oslo / Norway.

The main theme song ONE WORLD, ONE DREAM! was not performed during the concert on 1st of August, due to the ESC rules, explaining that all new songs are not allowed to be published or performed in public before 1st of October. But nevertheless all artists presented several songs of their repertoires in front of members of the press, fans and colleagues of the music business!
